BOT: Process

HOW GRANT BOT WORKS

No mystery, no black box. Here is exactly what happens between your intake form and a submitted application.

  1. 01

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR ORG

Five minutes. Org type, region, focus areas, funding categories and budget range. No account required, no credit card.

Everything you enter becomes the profile the scanner matches against. Pick more than one focus area — recall goes up with each one.

  2. 02

    THE BOT SCANS LIVE FUNDERS

We query the Grants.gov federal opportunity API in real time, across a keyword set built from your categories, plus our curated Ohio and Rustbelt funder list.

Every result is deduplicated by normalized URL, stamped with its source, and re-checked on each scan so stale listings age out visibly instead of silently.

  3. 03

    WE SCORE THE FIT

Each opportunity gets a 0–100 fit score: focus-term matches, region match, and category-specific signals. The rationale is shown in plain language.

We never invent an award amount or a deadline. If the funder didn't publish one, the field reads "Not listed".

  4. 04

    WE DRAFT THE APPLICATION

Pick a match and we write the narrative, budget, and org description. You review, tweak, and submit under your own name.

Track everything from the dashboard: status, deadline countdown, saved matches, and notes.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

  • Fabricate deadlines, award ranges, or eligibility rules. Missing data stays missing.
  • Submit anything on your behalf without your review.
  • Promise you'll win. Verify every deadline and requirement with the funder before applying.
